15-minute, weather application.

Task:

Build a weather application in 15 minutes or less

Why:

Experimenting with the Stax Cloud deploying a ColdFusion 8 application

Requirements:

The user should be able to select a capital city in Australia, and view the current weather conditions and three day forecast

RSS Feed:

I'll be using RSS Feeds from weather.com.au

Deployment:

Stax Cloud using ColdFusion 8

Development Environment:

Good ol' TextMate, developing locally via the Stax SDK

Results:

It took me 12 minutes to program and another 2 minutes to deploy to the Stax Cloud. I love the Stax Cloud!
